Dermaplaning facial is a skin exfoliation procedure that eliminates the vellous (peach fuzz) hair on the face plus the outer layer of dead skin cells. Dermaplaning gives you softer, smoother, healthy & glowing skin.
How It Works
As the stainless steel blade is swept across the skin, debris and impurities are separated from live, active skin and gently removed. By precisely angling the blade, we are able to achieve maximum exfoliation with minimal irritation. The procedure also shears the vellous hairs very close to the surface of the skin, so people who suffer from noticeable peach fuzz will notice an instant, positive change.
What To Expect
After using our cleansing process, we will begin the dermaplaning treatment. A surgical blade is lightly placed on the skin and moved in a fluid, sweeping motion. The procedure takes about 15-20 minutes and feels like very light scratching. If this is a precursor to a laser or chemical peel procedure, we would begin the treatment immediately after. If not, optional relaxing mask, massage, antioxidant creams and/or sunscreen application will conclude the facial.
Length Of Results
Peach fuzz hair grows back at different rates for everyone, but patients will usually see and the feel the difference for about 2-3 weeks after the treatment.
Number Of Treatments
Dermaplaning can be done every 3-6 weeks, depending on your skin type, preferences and lifestyle.
